Vence, "City of Art", is a lovely town sitting in the fresh air of the hills only a few km from Nice and Antibes. The town is full of flowers and, in the area around the town, aromatic flowers, olives and colorful orange trees are cultivated.

This photo is the Chapelle Matisse , with the Baou des Blancs in the background.
The old town is still a tight, walled circle of medieval buildings, much as it appeared hundreds of years ago.

• The main fountain. Just inside the entrance of the old town.

• An old mill. The Moulin de Boursac is in the valley at the edge of the old town. The water wheel is still in place, inside the arched opening, bottom center of the building.
• Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs.
• A view of the village with its circular-walled buildings.

Hugo,s Picnic under the harbour bridge

Hugo and I had a wonderful day together. We started with a little picnic in the sunshine at Kirrabilli. Then we visited the local BMW motorcycle shop to check out the new machines and a few parts for the boxer.

This week Thomas created his first Black Forest cake for his German class project. Yum Yum.
I am glad he kept it at home.

On est assez envieux ici a Newport car la douce France nous manque ainsi que la famille.
Basile est vraiment le portrait de son pere et meme peut etre de son oncle pierre!!!Quand a Jules les yeux sont vraiment ceux des Gelebart. Thomas lui ressemble un peu d'ailleurs.
Bref des beaux mecs mes neveux!!

Our latest addition Hugo is not so little anymore. 10 months with seven teeth and very cheeky. His big brother Thomas is officially a teenager with a good teenager attitude. Thomas has earned his latest Xbox 360 with top marks at school ( Barrenjoey High).

Hugo has also been very helpful in the yard this week he helped me remove a branch that fell on the fence.
